Effective
copywriting and public relations demands a careful briefing
from clients, usually with a face-to-face meeting but occasionally,
on smaller pieces of work, via a telephone call.
After
briefing, Stoneleigh Communications would normally issue a
Project Brief, summarising the requirements and outcomes and
giving a clear indication of approval processes, additional
background information, schedules and costs.
Invoices
are usually issued after completion of a project unless agreed
otherwise (for example, monthly invoices for larger time commitments
and staged invoices for bigger projects).
Payment
terms are usually 21 or 30 days and direct payment into the
bank is encouraged with full account details given on every
invoice.
We

take it on trust that clients will honour an unwritten agreement
in these circumstances.
