Publicity for Orton Farmers' Market
Orton Farmers' Limited was set up as a community enterprise company and has been operating as an accredited monthly Farmers' Market in Orton since 2001, winning the National Farmers' Market of the Year Award in 2005. The Market happens on the second Saturday of every month and can include up to 35 different stallholders, all of them coming from within a 50 mile radius of Orton and many of them from the immediate community, including local farmers.
"Working with Sally is easy - she lives on the doorstep of the Market, has built good relationships with our regular stallholders and she works hard with local media to make the most of milestones such as our 100th Market in 2010 as well as finding angles on each month's market."

Sally says: "The monthly Market in the village has become quite an occasion with live music, events in Church and plenty of potential media stories as stallholders develop and change and new products make an appearance. I try to issue something before and after each Market as well as keeping in touch with the Directors of the Market when there are other opportunities."
