Focus on Dentdale

Through connections with Highlights Contemporary Craft Tour (in Dent at the very end of April and beginning of May) and Annie Swarbrick at Greystoke Cycle Cafe, I've been working with Pip Hall and Matthew Clayton, both based in Dent.

Pip is well known locally for her work on the Kirkby Stephen Poetry Path and she is leading two 3-day workshops on stone letter carving at Greystoke later in the year.  The press release about these seemed to strike a chord as we got several media contacts back almost immediately.  Fingers crossed that these will turn into coverage and then workshop bookings.

Matthew is part of the energy behind Discover Dentdale, a group of accommodation providers and community reps that organises the Dent Walking Festival as well as the Annual Show and the Beer Festival and also a shared acommodation in Dent website.  This year's Walking Festival also includes various Open Studios (including Pip's workshop) and coincides with the Highlights Contemporary Craft Tour at the Meditation Centre in Dent.
